Northwich Auction Ltd was formerly The Red Lion public house, a large Victorian Building adjacent to the Trent and Mersey Canal in the village of Barnton.
Northwich Auction, Antiques and Collectables Centre has been set up by Ral Pritchard and Peter Critchley to offer anyone with an interest in antiques and collectables or looking for a piece of modern furniture, a friendly environment to browse and buy.
The auction features around 500 lots with prices ranging from a few pounds up to many hundreds. We will sell anything that there is a legal demand for, including antique, modern and office furniture, electrical goods, garden items, antique, collectable and household ceramics, glass, militaria, coins, jewellery, watches, musical instruments and a host of other items.
The auctions are held fortnightly on a Wednesday at 10am and last for approximately four hours.Viewing is on the Sunday and Tuesday before each auction. Sunday hours are 1pm - 5pm. Tuesday viewing is between 10am and 5pm, items can also be viewed from 9am until the auction starts on the day.
We offer a competitively priced delivery service for any item bought in our auction or at the centre.
A fully illustrated catalogue is published online every Friday before each Wednesday auction. Bids may be submitted by email on the bidding form.
The Antiques and Collectables Centre has 25 units and over 30 display cabinets available to rent, with a wide mix of items for sale from a variety of dealers. The prices are suited to all budgets however large or small, and we are sure that there is something here for everyone, although we will not sell new items. The centre is open from 10am until 5pm every day.

Northwich Auction Customer Announcement
We are making some changes to our future sales. The number of lots in our sales has been increasing as has the length of our sales and it is clear to us that some of the lots we offer are not suitable for online photography and bidding. Our existing commission structure means that we lose money on selling low value lots.
Change to all future sales
From 29th May 2013, we will be holding two sales on our usual fortnightly sale day. The General Sale will commence at 9.30 am. Items for this sale will be located in the outside workshop, and the atrium. The items will be boxed lots, garden & garage items, house clearance items, household appliances, low value items and other mixed lots.
Why not have each auction catalogue mailed directly to you prior to each sale. The cost of this service is only £30 for 6 months worth of catalogues. Phone us today on 01606 76222 to sign up.
We are now accepting items for our fortnightly antiques and general sale on Wednesday 29th May 2013.
We accept items for the next auction on the Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday following each auction. Please call ahead if you intend to bring in a quantity of items or if you are unable to meet these dates.
If you have items that you are considering selling, just bring them along at any time, 10-5 the Thursday and Friday or Monday and Tuesday after an auction and we will give you an idea what the items will make at auction. These valuations are free of charge or obligation. If you decide to enter the items into the auction, we will gave you a receipt for them and enter them into the next sale. A fortnight after the sale we will post you a cheque out of which we will deduct our charges, just 12.5% +VAT with a minimum of £5 of the hammer price. Our fees are the lowest in the whole of Cheshire.
Every one of our sales has live internet bidding, so people across the world can and do bid for your items, as well as an enthusiastic room full of keen buyers. Unlike other auction houses, we do not make ant extra charges for the live bidding, or for the fact that we photograph every item.
If you have larger items we can value them in your own home (again with no charge or obligation) and we can arrange pickup for larger items. If the valuer takes away items from your home on his visit, there is again no charge.
It has never been easier or cheaper to sell your surplus items, so call us today on 01606-76222. We look forward to hearing from you.
